About this product
Great Mullein, a member of the figwort family, hails from Eurasia but has found a home in North America and Australia through naturalization. Its soft, velvety leaves have earned it the names Velvet Dock or Velvet Plant. Historically, the plant earned another moniker, Candlestick, as ancient Romans crafted torches by dipping its lengthy flower stems in tallow and igniting them. Today, dried loose mullein leaf is cherished for its use in teas, and when combined with various herbs and spices, it contributes to the making of aromatic incense. - Origin: Mediterranian - Botanical name: Verbascum thapsus - Size: 4oz
