Composition:
Nététou is a condiment made from the néré seed (Parkia biglobosa) of the deciduous tree. Nététou is used in several West African countries. It is called simbala in countries such as Mali or Guinea, Dadawa in Nigeria. Sumbala is rich in protein and a variety of minerals, which are completely absent from bouillon cubes.

In Senegal it is used in dishes such as soupou kandia/okra soup, mbakhal, or thieb bou wekh, to enhance their taste.
